Video Chat Video Walkthrough

Video Chat Step by Step Instructions
If you’d like to start a video chat with a customer, you can text an invitation for a secure video chat. Use it from your desktop browser with webcam or your smartphone with our mobile app.
To initiate a video chat, select the three dot menu in the write a message field and then select invite to video chat.

Once selected, a template will pop up (feel free to edit if needed) and go ahead and hit send.

There is no software for your client/student/patient/customer to download. They just click the link in the text message and hit “accept and join” and “allow” on both camera and audio permissions and they are face-to-face with you.

Ways you can take advantage of Video Chat:
- Share inventory: Do a virtual walk around of an inventory item with a prospective client (you can flip the camera on your smartphone).
- Virtual service: Offer virtual diagnostic visit to earn your customer’s trust – “to better serve you, we are now offering a virtual service diagnostic visit” – you can even create a keyword to drive this in your advertising – “text VISIT to xxx-xxx-xxxx to schedule your virtual service visit.”
- Dr. <> Patient follow-up: Conduct Doctor-Patient appointments to provide clarity without needing an in-person visit.
- Service walk-through: Give your customer a tour of the job progress and work completed.
Troubleshooting:
- If you can see and hear yourself, but your customer says they cannot see or hear you, the issue is on their end.
- Alternatively, if you can’t see or hear yourself, it is a permissions issue. I would recommend switching your browser from Chrome to Safari or vice versa to reset the permissions.
- You can also just delete and redownload your preferred browser app to reset the audio and camera permissions.
